Kampala is the capital City of Uganda, much like Rome was originally built, spread over seven hills and takes its fabled name from Kasozi Kampala, interpreted as “the hills of the antelopes”. The origin of Kampala goes back to 1891 when the Kabaka of Buganda held his court on Rubaga and Mengo Hills.

Our 3 Day tour is specifically designed for visitors with few days in Uganda love to trek gorillas, visit Lake Bunyonyi Area to interact with the local community for an authentic Ugandan experience.

This tour also gives you a chance to visit a school, women and youth projects around Lake Bunyonyi. Explore Bwindi and visit the local community on this tour.






Day – 1 – Drive to Bwindi, stop at the Equator.

Encounter Africa Safaris will pick you from your hotel to drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. You will have en route stop at the Royal drum makers to observe how our Local drums are made from animal skin and wood.

You will proceed to the Equator crossing for photography and simple experiments to proof that this is an imaginary line that divides the planet into two equal parts. Lunch will be served in Mbarara Town and then proceed to Bwindi Impenetrable national Park via Kabale town.

Accommodation: Broad Bill Forest Camp – Mid-range tented camp located just outside Bwindi National Park.

Meals & drinks: Lunch & dinner (Breakfast not included)

Day – 2 – Gorilla trekking in Bwindi National Park.

Bwindi Impenetrable Forest boasts both Mountain Gorillas and Chimpanzees – the only forest in Africa which can make this claim in fact.

The Gorillas you will track belong to one of nine habituated family groups who can tolerate the presence of humans for a brief period every day. Your trek will be an exciting journey along forested slopes, entwined vines, bushes and bamboo before you eventually reach the Gorillas’ habitat.

The time taken to track the Gorillas can take as little as 2 hours to as much as 7 hours before one returns! Once the Gorillas have been located, your group will be allowed a maximum of one hour with them. Coming face-to-face with a Mountain Gorilla is a truly humbling and emotional experience. This is a fantastic and privileged opportunity to get up close and personal with Uganda’s very own ‘Gorillas in the Mist’ After you trek, drive to Lake Bunyonyi for an evening canoe on the lake of visit a volunteer project.

Accommodation: Crater Bay Cottages – Mid-range cottage located in or near Lake Bunyonyi.

Meals & drinks: All meals and drinking included (Other drinks not included)

Day – 3 – Drive back to Kampala/Entebbe.

After breakfast, you may visit an orphanage, School or one of the supported women project around Lake Bunyonyi and then depart for Entebbe (This will depend of your flight details). You will have a lunch stop en route and then proceed to Kampala/Entebbe or Entebbe Airport for your outward flight.
